MSc Marine Biology (Thesis Track)

A research-focused, thesis-track program exploring marine life across biological scales: from ecosystems and organisms to genes and molecular mechanisms. Students engage in interdisciplinary study that integrates ecological research, experimental laboratory work, and hands-on field experience in the Mediterranean Sea. Through close faculty mentorship, educational cruises, research dives, and advanced analytical training, students develop the skills needed to conduct independent scientific research and contribute to understanding biodiversity, environmental change, and sustainable ocean management.

MSc Marine Geosciences (Thesis & Non-Thesis Tracks)

This program explores the geological, geophysical, and environmental processes shaping the seafloor, coastlines, and marine Earth systems. Using the Eastern Mediterranean as a natural laboratory, students gain practical experience through research cruises, coastal and underwater field excursions, and geological fieldwork.

The program offers a 2-year thesis-track option for research-oriented students, as well as an additional 1-year non-thesis track for those seeking advanced professional training. Both tracks provide a strong academic foundation combined with hands-on scientific exploration and preparation for careers in the global geosciences arena.
